Consent Agreement
Last updated: October 2026
Please read this before connecting your wearable. It explains what Bonaca collects and who can see it.
What You Are Agreeing To
When you agree in the app, you allow Bonaca to collect health and activity data from the wearable you connect. Bonaca shows it to you and to the family members you invite. Bonaca only collects this data and shares it with family after you agree.
What Bonaca Collects
Depending on what your device records, Bonaca collects:
- Health measurements: heart rate, heart-rate variability, blood oxygen (SpO₂), respiratory rate, body temperature, blood pressure, blood glucose, ECG readings, falls detected by your device, nutrition and hydration, and body fat or body composition, where your connected account provides them
- Fitness and activity: steps, calories, workouts, sleep and VO₂ max
- Summaries, trends and alerts that Bonaca works out from these
Bonaca does not listen to conversations, take photographs or access your private messages. It reads your location only if you turn on Location Sharing, and then shares just the name of the area you were last in. It does not diagnose conditions or give medical advice. Our Privacy Policy lists everything we collect.
Who Can See Your Data
You can share with up to two family members you invite. For each one, you choose which categories they can see: vitals, activity and behaviour. You can change what each person sees, or stop sharing, at any time from your Profile.
Your Right to Withdraw
You can withdraw at any time by disconnecting your wearable and removing family members. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete your data under our Privacy Policy, or delete your account at bonaca.in/delete-account.
If You Are Helping a Parent Set Up Bonaca
- Explain what Bonaca collects and who will see it, and let your parent decide for themselves
- Do not agree on someone else's behalf or connect their wearable without their knowledge
- If your parent changes their mind, help them withdraw in the app straight away
Emergency Situations
Bonaca is a reassurance tool, not a medical or emergency service. If someone may be in immediate danger, call local emergency services. Do not rely on Bonaca as a substitute for emergency response.
This page is provided for your reference. The Bonaca app asks you to agree to this Consent Agreement before you connect a wearable or share data with family.
